So you are shopping around & surfing via the Internet for a “Cheap Tank“ and shopping on price and price alone – it’s a typical and very normal thing to do – every customer does it and SHOULD do it – but please be careful when pushing for the “ Cheapest Deal “...It’s easy to be the Cheapest but BUYER BEWARE !
With respect you should NEVER shop on Price alone yet on Quality, Warranty, and most importantly the WEIGHT of the finished Tank is critical – that’s where costs are reduced as not all the raw material goes into the Mould – and YOU didn’t get a deal – you got RIPPED OFF if we may be so frank please !
Another area they save costs are making Tanks from Moulds of very poor design – FACT! Much money is saved thus a ”Cheap Tank“ and professional corners cut as many a manufacturer will not spend the money on Hydraulic Consultants with Computer Aided Design and testing those designs by engaging a Finite Element Analysis ( F.E.A ). If you want the lowest price and push and push we suggest you cross your fingers and hope all holds together – we have literally seen in excess of 500 Tanks fail in the past 7 years alone ! – all because the manufacturer cut corners and is no longer around to honour ( the ) your warranty – now when you have to replace the Tank at your 100% cost – was the deal for the cheapest so good after all ?
Many a Tank Manufacturer have gone bust or retreated in very recent times. It’s an extremely tough market place and some Manufacturers are cutting corners and costs to try & survive the difficult Rain Water Tank market place currently in from SEQ down the eastern Seaboard to Melbourne and across to Adelaide and other markets in Regional Towns. You contact some of these folks, dealers and manufacturers where the “ Deal “ seems brilliant – yet in some ( read many if you will please ) cases it’s NOT – the sad fact is YOU quite possibly were ( or could well be ) conned and RIPPED OFF !
We here at Deluge Poly Rainwater Tanks are major distributors having sold in excess of 11,500 Tanks in the past 7 Years and have seen it all, suffered much, learned lots, and call the facts out when we see, know and are aware of Manufacturers “Misbehaving “. Let’s just say that many a Manufacturer will tell YOU what YOU want to hear & not what YOU SHOULD hear as we will & do & share with you here at Deluge Water Tanks.
We know how some Tanks sold DIRECT by / from a Manufacturer are Cheaper than us sometimes – and dare I say will match our special deal should it be shared just to secure the sale away from our very successful business model – BUT let me assure you with due respect please that NOT ALL is the same in many a case ! A Tank to the unsuspecting may look the same or the story sound the same – yet YOU have NO guarantee. In the main and you may think all looks the same and you are comparing the same as an apple against an apple – yet in many an instance YOU unknowingly are not…more like a Quality Tank well made & well priced Vs- a Cheap Moose !
As a sample of CHEAP and cutting corners one can save +$170 – $200 on a 5,000 Gallon Tank by cutting corners on the Shot Weight ( Raw Resin Poly Powder ) as the untrained person & eye could NOT tell the difference ! Some Tanks if you happen to ask are only 350 Kg in weight where the 5,000 – 5055 Gallon Tank 23,000Litre we PROUDLY offer has 400 kg!
That alone should tell you something – plus you will find when you ask the correct questions the 350 Kg Tank also has a centre pole to hold the roof up as NOT enough raw poly powder material went into the mould to form the Tank up fit for purpose and able to hold its own roof up! …and that Ladies & Gents is how you make a Cheap Tank for those shopping way too hard !
It’s akin to making a cake- leave an egg out, some ingredients out & you still will have a “ Cheap Cake ” but under no circumstance surly can you say they are one of the same – it will be called a cake, look like a cake if it hasn’t sagged and dropped ( i.e the ROOF needs a pole to hold it up to prevent it sagging in on itself ) and while it was “ Cheap “ it’s NOT the same and frankly ( if ) in our opinion you just got RIPPED OFF sadly !
